Vanillin C8-H8-O3
		Vanillin, not to be mistaken for Vanilla, is a synthetic chemical  derived  from eugenol or guaiacol, or through fermenting wood pulp.  It is believed to be pharmacologically active, causing depressed blood pressure, increased respiratory rate, and in high doses death due to cardiovascular collapse [ [Patty, F.
